Silver Cocktail/Olive Picks

In the slightly odd times we are currently inhabiting, creating jewellery has been somewhat difficult due to supplier shutdowns. Whilst my lovely customers have been super patient with the delays, I have been feeling a bit frustrated at not being able to make anything, so this weekend, I recycled some of my scrap silver and turned it into some cocktail skewers. Hitting things with hammers turned out to be very satisfying!

I had various little offcuts of eco-silver wire and sheet metal, so I combined them by hammering and soldering them together to create four individual but complementary cocktail picks.

I’ve been rather enjoying learning how to make cocktails during lockdown - it has become my weekly Friday treat!

At the same time, I’ve been learning how to use my camera properly. I used the lovely afternoon sunlight to take some pictures of this tasty cocktail, which involved passion fruit liqueur, triple-sec, freshly squeezed orange and lemon juices, topped up with Aldi’s organic sparkling rose.
